The hotel had a great onsen with many indoor and outdoor pools to choose from. The rooms had everything you might need for your stay, including a balcony with a beautiful view of the river. The hotel was conveniently located near other tourist attractions in the area.
The hotel staff had limited English skills, making communication difficult at times. The hotel was a bit outdated and the group dinner was only so-so.

Great stay in lovely location with excellent amenities. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the buffet dinner and Japanese breakfast, which included freshly baked bread and cakes. The private onsen was amazing, with adjustable temperature and great views of the sunset. The hotel also offered a walking trail along the riverside, which was a nice touch. a wonderful stay in an idyllic setting.
Limited English language skills among hotel staff, beyond the reception desk. This could potentially be an issue for non-Japanese speaking guests.

Spent Christmas at an onsen hotel in Hokkaido. Loved the serene ambiance and the hot springs experience. The hotel had beautiful indoor and outdoor pools to choose from. , the location of the hotel was great, surrounded by picturesque landscape and the river beside it was truly mesmerizing. the souvenir shop had some great items to buy as presents.
The biggest disappointment was the lack of options in the menu. The food was mediocre.
